COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT PREMARITAL COUNSELING

How do we begin the premarital process and/or schedule a pastor to officiate our wedding?

Fill out the Wedding Contact Form to begin the premarital process

Do we have to be members of Restoration Church to go through the premarital process or have a pastor officiate our wedding?

Weddings and premarital counseling are only performed when either the bride or the groom, parents or guardians, are members of Restoration Church, or by prior approval of the senior pastor.

What are the guidelines for a Restoration pastor to officiate our wedding?

As stated in the Bible and in accordance with Restoration Church beliefs and bylaws, weddings will take place between one man and one woman.

If you are interested in having a Restoration pastor officiate your wedding, premarital counseling is required prior to the wedding. Restoration premarital counseling must be completed a minimum of two months before the wedding and before a pastor and the church will be secured for the wedding.  If the premarital counseling is completed outside of Restoration, counseling must be scripture-based, and we will need documentation of completion. This documentation should include the curriculum studied, a minimum of 6 hours completed and who facilitated your process on a form from your premarital counselors directly emailed to pastorseth@rechurch.tv

In addition, we recommend a minimum of a $300 honorarium for a Restoration pastor who officiates your wedding and should be given to him directly on the day of the wedding.

Is there a cost for premarital counseling?

We do not charge for premarital counseling, however the premarital counseling must be completed at least two months prior to the wedding, and before a pastor or church facility can be secured.
